ASAMI membership is an opportunity to share new ideas for further development of the Ilizarov method, to learn the perspectives of external fixation on the land where the method was developed.

The ASAMI Russia is established in order to draw attention to the Ilizarov method and other methods of external fixation, to demonstrate scientific interests and practical experience of Russian trauma and orthopaedic researchers and clinicians at conferences and exhibitions. It enables communication with international and national ASAMIs from other countries. The membership in the Russian ASAMI can be individual or corporate for doctors, postgraduates and researchers.

Members of the Russian ASAMI are given some privileges for information services and registration fee discounts at the conferences held by the Russian Ilizarov Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics, subscription to the journal Genius of Orthopaedics. The Kurgan Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics can be called the base of the Russian ASAMI Honored scientist of the Russian Federation, corresponding member of RAMS, Professor V.I. Shevtsov holds office of the President of Russian and International ASAMI
